The Alano Club is an important part of the Boise recovery community, offering a space where people overcoming drug and alcohol addiction can come together, find support, and celebrate sobriety.
However, in recent years the club has been struggling. The property is owned by its club members but during the last decade or so, the revenue has only been able to keep the doors open, while maintenance of the building dwindled, and the cost of repairs soared.
We are facing immediate roof repairs, insulation, and drywall replacement. At a cost of nearly $250,000, this is the challenge of taking ownership through the donation to the Prodigal Foundation/Operation Forgotten Heroes 501 C3 non-profit organization. To continue seeing success stories and to stay open we need the community's help.
